Description
The NORSE RESCUE® Trauma Bandage 8″ Abdominal stands as a specialized solution within the realm of emergency medical supplies, tailored to meet the demands of handling severe and complex injuries including abdominal eviscerations, traumatic amputations, extensive burns, and large pattern wounds.
This meticulously designed bandage is comprised of an 8” elastic wrap, providing the necessary flexibility and pressure for a wide range of injury types, while the substantial 12” by 12” wound pad ensures optimal coverage and sterility, crucial for the initial treatment of significant injuries.
A standout feature of this bandage is its quick grip roll control system. This innovative feature is crucial for ensuring a quick, efficient, and controlled application, particularly in high-stress environments where time and precision are of the essence. This system allows the caregiver or the injured individual to apply the bandage effectively, minimizing secondary injury risk and improving the chances of a favorable outcome.
In addressing the specific needs associated with abdominal and large-area wounds, the NORSE RESCUE® Trauma Bandage includes an occlusive layer. This addition is vital for comprehensive wound management, especially for injuries prone to infection or further internal damage. The occlusive layer works to seal the wound from external contaminants, providing a controlled environment for the wound to begin the healing process.
The design and construction of the NORSE RESCUE® Trauma Bandage 8″ Abdominal reflect a deep understanding of the critical nature of trauma care. By offering a solution that combines flexibility, coverage, sterility, and controlled application, this bandage is an indispensable tool for emergency responders, medical professionals, and individuals in high-risk environments.
In emergencies involving severe injuries, the NORSE RESCUE® Trauma Bandage 8″ Abdominal is not just a piece of equipment; it is a critical component of effective response, designed to save lives and mitigate the severity of traumatic injuries. Norse Rescue BOA, IV Constricting Band
The BOA® IV Constricting Band revolutionizes the traditional design of constricting bands, making it an essential tool for successful IV cannulation. This innovative band employs a rolling action that transfuses venous blood to the distal veins while maintaining arterial flow, thereby improving central venous access. For optimal results, the BOA® should be placed as high on the extremity as possible, which effectively distends the veins and facilitates quicker, more effective IV access, even in challenging patients.
Key features of the BOA® include a patented Quick Click connector and a two-finger Quick Release mechanism. These features eliminate the need for tying and re-tying traditional constricting bands, significantly reducing the time required for IV setup. This efficiency is particularly beneficial in high-stress environments such as combat zones, civilian trauma situations, and medical settings where patients may have poor vascular access.
By decreasing “time on task” and enhancing the ease of IV access, the BOA® IV Constricting Band is a critical component in the toolkit of healthcare professionals. Its advanced design not only improves procedural efficiency but also enhances patient care by ensuring reliable and swift venous access.

SAM MEDICAL IO Training Kit
Product Description
The SAM IO Training Kits include components needed to simulate intraosseous access
with the SAM IO system. Every kit includes a nylon Training Case, Driver, three Training
Needles, Stabilizer, and Adaptor. Simulation Sawbones, including the proximal
humerus, proximal tibia, and distal tibia, are also available in the SAM IO Training Kits.
All included parts are for training purposes only.
SAM IO is a manually operated intraosseous access system. Catheter placement is
achieved by continuously actuating (repeatedly compressing) the driver’s trigger
assembly while gently guiding the needle assembly into position. Repeated, full
trigger actuation creates rotational spin of the needle assembly which, when
combined with gentle downward pressure, results in controlled IO placement. Once
needle assembly is properly positioned, the stylet is removed to expose standard
Luer-lock for extension set connection. With the extension set connected, aspiration
verification, flushing and selected treatment(s) may commence.
